Done for the year

My 2011 season officially wrapped up yesterday. Although it was disappointing that I didn’t harvest a deer there were a lot of positives to take from it. I introduced my son to his first year of bowhunting and he also took part in the youth gun season, where he harvested his first ever doe. I also shared several of my hunts with my other two children. In September I was able to film John Dummer on his first ND bowhunt at Heart J Outfitters. Although the bigger bucks didn’t want to cooperate I had a great time sharing camp with him and laying down some great footage.
Now it’s time to start making plans for this coming Fall, think about what shows to attend and look for sheds.
